Description

It would great to see a Blacklist FreePBX Module released SOON, I have not been able to get the blacklisting to work at all and from what I have search it looks as if I am not alone, I am going to be moving to the asterisk soon but the current system I have been using has a blacklist under running windows (Call Attendent Pro) and I have many numbers in there and often add new ones Beaing able to manage a blacklist easly is the only hold up on this for me at this time.

Additionaly I would like to be able to define a behavor that will act on a blacklisted number and play SIT tones and a message and hangup. or play a difrent greating for a group of numbers.

I am also looking forward to the blacklisting features has anyone got this working at all yet? This sounds like a real importent feature to have, is it going to happen soon?

BTW the progress on freepbx as a whole is great and there are features poping up all the time that are also guite useful. Hope to see the blacklist thing soon though.

Big round of chearing goes out to all of the developers working on the freepbx project.

Using inbound routes, you can set specific actions based on CID. You can direct calls to a custom context that just hangs up, plays the SIT tones, looping IVR, or whatever.

If this isn't enough, please describe why in detail (and/or file bug reports against inbound routing if it's a problem there), and reopen if necessary.

I thought we'd agreed to provide this in 2.2????? It is on the Roadmap for 2.2.

Here's a good example of why your suggestion is not enough.

Picture the scene, 2 a.m. in the morning, nicely asleep in bed. The phone rings. It's some geek from a different timezone that's just got his asterisk box working and randomly dialing numbers. You answer it, they hang up. You try to go back to sleep, phone rings again, again hand up. Do I really want to be getting out of bed, firing up the computer, finding out the prat's CID info, logging into FreePBX, setting up an inbound route for the number ?????

PLUS custom context's require some knowledge of a) linux; and b) dialplans

We need this, why do people keep closing it?
