It would be extremely useful to have different outbound
routes for different extension groups when dialing the
same number.
Example:
An installation has twenty-two voice telephone sets and
two fax machines on a channel bank. The client
requests that outbound calls are handled by a PRI for
all national calls, and international calls route over
an IAX2 termination provider. This is acceptable for
voice calls, but fax calls must route over the PRI
regardless of destination.
Currently, a different dial string must be implemented
to force calls to route over the PRI. It would be
preferable to have international calls dialable from
the fax machine the same way as from the voice
telephone sets to reduce user confusion and frustration.
