Ok I posted this as a single line code change back 9 months ago for somebody else in the forums and never posted it here.
It's short and sweet.
It allows you to create a extension with the person's name and if it is wrapped in ()'s it will not show/say them in the directory.
I'd post a diff except I've customized my directory for multiple server support and the diff will not work for regular installs now (that is also posted as a request that I need to finish).

The directions are still correct if you go to the end of the file and count lines up.
