Outgoing call recording doesn't work on zap extensions

Reported by: TheEye Assigned to: p_lindheimer
Priority: minor Milestone: 2.5
Component: Core - Users/Devices Version: 2.3.1
Keywords: record outgoing amportal Cc:
Confirmation: Need Feedback SVN Revision (if applicable):
Backend Engine: Asterisk 1.4.x Backend Engine Version:

Description

When you configure a zap extension with:

Record Incoming = Always
Record Outgoing = Always

It records incomings calls to that extensions without issue.

But it won't record the outgoing calls of that extensions. At Asterisk console the error says it could not find the AMPUSER for that extension and hence "No recording is needed".

The only way I could solve this was by setting the "callerid" variable inside zapata.conf, like this:

context=from-internal
group=1
signalling = fxo_ks
callerid="John" <502>
channel => 6

  • owner changed from abrown to p_lindheimer.
  • confirmation changed from Unreviewed to Need Feedback.
  • component changed from Recordings Module to Core - Users/Devices.

how are you configuring the extensions? If you are including zapata_additional.conf in your zapata.conf configuration then the callerid variable should be set as it does depend on this being set to function properly. It should be set to 'device <502>' since this is how FreePBX determines who it is that is calling and is able to look up the conditions in the AMPUSER stucture.

In fact including zapata_additional.conf fixes the problem.

Just a poorly generated zapata.conf. Sorry
