Description

FreePBX 2.3.1 with all modules updated to latest. CentOS 5.1. When trying to listen to custom recording from the FPBX GUI I get the following error:

You don't have permission to access /admin/modules/recordings/popup.php on this server.

Probably yet another .htaccess issues. Deleting .htaccess is NOT an option as this is open to the internet.

Adding: <files popup.php> Allow from all </files>

to .htaccess in var/www/html/admin/modules

Prevents the error but I don't get any playback. Maybe that is a separate issue...maybe.

  • priority changed from major to minor.
  • milestone changed from Cut Line to 2.4.

I think this may be a configuration issue - take a look at some of the other distros like PBXinaFlash or CentPBX, I believe they have Deny from All in their .htaccess.

note- I thought we got rid of all file accesses and ran them through config.php - apparently not.

"Deny from All" is in there. I had to add the other part.

  • status changed from new to closed.
  • resolution set to worksforme.

since this works in general, I'm closing as worksforme as I haven't seen other issues reported or other activity on this ticket.

  • status changed from closed to reopened.
  • resolution deleted.

er, I've noticed this on my system as well. I general know what recordings I've put in as recordings so its perhaps less useful, but I guess if there is a feature it should works. Running the popup thru config.php, as mentioned above, should probably fix it

I am also experiencing this issue. This has to be something that Apache is doing, since I can set the permissions to 777 on the file and it still blocks it. (.htaccess issue probable?)

  • confirmation changed from Unreviewed to Confirmed.

there appear to be a couple of problems. The access violation as reported and then a similar encryption problem. Also, there seems to be a bug that is not passing the path to the directory that has cropped up somewhere. I'll shortly check-in a fix to address:

  • access violation as reported here
  • get the path properly to the recording
  • put back the encryption and decription (and then open a new bug against the occasional failures)

  • status changed from reopened to closed.
  • resolution set to fixed.

(In [6232]) fixes #2547 run popup.php and audio.php through an action and include in page.recordings.php so modules dir can be locked down, fix bug in sound file path, add back encryption (which introduces a bug that was fixed in ARI and needs to be investigated)

(In [6233]) re #2983 get encryption key out of url, and re #2547
