Auto Answer SIP strings are hardcoded

Reported by: goshenco Assigned to:

Component: Paging & Intercom Version: SVN-HEAD

Description

I have changed the default sip.cnf for the Polycom to allow an alert-info of Auto Answer. I changed command the entry in the paging_phones table to say Auto Answer instead of Ring Answer. However, when I debug the SIP to the device it is still sending Ring Answer. I have even tried rebooting the computer to get the changes in the database to take effect.

Please advise,

Matt

This is something I have working on a plain Asterisk box and I copied the config data.

Can get it to work if I modify extensions_additional.conf myself... less than ideal ;(

  • version changed from 2.2.1 to SVN-HEAD.
  • summary changed from Polycom Auto Answer for intercom to Auto Answer SIP strings are hardcoded.

currently it is hardcoded in the code, it does not pull the data out of the table. So you will need to change the code. This will be changed in a future release.

Thanks for the reply:

What file in the code should I change?

  • version changed from 2.3-branch to SVN-HEAD.
  • milestone changed from 2.3 to 3.0.

more of a feature request. In any event, there are plans to make a bunch of changes to paging especially when we get provisioning integrated. For now moving to svn head.

  • confirmation set to Need testing.

r5183 (2.4 SVN SVN Trunk)
please test if you are running SVN head and 2.4 module repository
The new changes still have hardcoding of headers but make changes based on the detected phones. They also provide a provision to add a custom macro and specify the macro in the DEVICE Astdb object to bypass the default behaviors.
