Description

There are some modules which are not free software, or not suitable to be part of debian. Here is a list:

  • zip : What is the license? Where is upstream?
  • java-ssh: Whats the license? Is it free to distribute at all?
  • java-irc: depends on java run time which is not free yet.
  • gabcast: contains binary globs. The Flash applet must contain a source, and must be rebuild-able using free tools available on Debian.

What is the policy of freePBX regarding this modules?

  • status changed from new to closed.
  • resolution set to wontfix.

Resolution - we will keep what is there. I don't think any of those are included in the tarballs distributed on sourceforge. If any of the authors of those components have an issue they should contact the project. If you are packaging FreePBX into Debian or other places, you will have to evaluate if you include these. And of course, if there are good alternatives available, they can be considered for inclusion.
