Reported by: vgster Assigned to: gregmac

Description

In modules admin selecting Upgrade All is selecting any and all modules that upgrades are available for but, it is also selecting for install any modules are that locally available modules but not installed.

Should upgrade all only upgrade installed modules?

Download all will download and install any modules that aren't installed but ignores modules that are locally available but not installed.

I can confirm that this happened on my system too. It would be nice to be able to remove unwanted modules totally from the GUI (like SellVoIP).

You can still totally remove modules by either deleting the directory manually, or by using /var/lib/asterisk/bin/module_admin

/var/lib/asterisk/bin/module_admin delete <modulename>

will check for reverse dependencies, then disable, unistall and delete the module.

Yes you can, but shouldn't upgrade all only upgrade and not install locally available modules? Also worth nothing that once these locally available modules have been instead they are normally out of date, since they are local they are most likely old. So upgrade all doesn't upgrade locally available mods until it has installed them.

  • engine_version changed.
  • svn_rev changed.

Perhaps that is different bug...

Local modules which are not installed or "disabled pending upgrade" do not display or allow downloading of the online version. Shouldn't the online version be available (if newer)?

  • version changed from 2.2rc3 to 2.3-branch.

07/27/07 18:13:23 changed by p_lindheimer

  • version changed from 2.3-branch to SVN-HEAD.
  • milestone set to 3.0.

moving to svn head - we can back port if appropriate when implemented

  • confirmation set to Confirmed.
  • version deleted.
  • milestone changed from 2.4 to 3.0.

  • status changed from new to closed.
  • version set to 2.5-branch.
  • resolution set to fixed.

Now upgrade all will only choose installed modules to upgrade from the online repository, it will not select local modules that are not installed.
