context=from-truck is added to the wrong place in sip_additional.conf

Reported by: betatester Assigned to:

Description

When a new truck is created context=from-truck is added to the "user Details" instead of "Peer Details". This will cause the inbound sip call to be identified as unknown inbound trunk, hence "number is not in service" will play back to the caller.

;Peer details [Freedigits] type=peer nat=yes insecure=very host=proxy.freedigits.net dtmfmode=rfc2833 context=from-truck ; fix for inbound

;user details [5159497121] canreinvite=no context=from-truck ;version 2.2 beta2; shouldn't go here

When a new trunk is created context=from-trunk is added to the "user Details" instead of "Peer Details" in sip_additional.conf. This will cause the inbound sip call to be identified as "from-sip-external", hence "number is not in service" will play back to the caller. In fact the inbound works just fine with out any "user context". ;Peer details

hmm - not sure this is bug. Every configuration is different and should be configured as required by the provider. However, I do often have from-trunk in PEER details (which are sometimes friend-details anyhow). I'll leave open for discussion if the defaults should be changed although I think they have been as they are since 'the begining of time'.

  • status changed from new to closed.
  • resolution set to invalid.

No feedback - I'm closing this. If someone has a better suggestion for default trunk settings (which should probably just be completely blank given the variance amongst providers out there) then feel free to suggest something.
