Description

It would be really great if there is some module or something that can make lot of extension in one shot ( like ext number 100-110 ) with same settings like password , accountcode and codec options ..) . This would be really great feature .. also the present extension making page is hell lot problematic bcoz while making extension it doesnt shows full sip or iax options for the extension and then i have to click the extension number from side list and it shows all the options . Its really problem bcoz i set accountcode and codecs and nat option as per extension and this may be helpful to other people too who want to administer more than 80-90 extension with freepbx

Would also be nice if this could be done by importing a comma seperated file and even better if the current extensions could be exported to one.

Adding extensions is fine for a small office/home setup but a larger setup would be very annoying to have to setup. The reason I say importing comma seperated files is that it would be easy to gather the needed settings for extensions in a company and import them, exporting them would allow importing after things like doing a major update of Trixbox for users that are using it, eg version 1.x to 2.x required a format and starting again from scratch, exporting the file would allow people to just import it again since there could have been changes since the original one was imported.

I transfered our compagny from a nortel switch to an in House developped VOIP system based on free pbx. From experience, I had to configure every on the 798 extentions we had manually however it provided us a clean and properly configured set of extention. If you try to import, you will always hit a corrupted csv file, with an extra space , etc... This will save you a little bit of time but at the end, you will not be sure that every extension are properly configured. So at the end, the time you saved at the beginning will be crushed by you having to check every single extension for proper configuration.
