is all the time because of this "use of uninitialised value" problem?
If yes this might get sorted out first, before you can get a working installation..
If you did it 3 times do you care to go ahead and try Asterisk 1.4 to see if problem persists?
hanke.
I tried also ASterisk 1.4.19
I tried also ASterisk 1.4.19 and 1.4.18
I tried to build Asterisk from source and the result is same.
I used also debian package of Asterisk

Why is this ?
ok; this time problem is different
ok; this time problem is different
I installed asterisk and all required modules (asterisk-mysql , asterisk-mp3 , asterisk-sounds etc.) with Debian's package manager.
Asterisk runs fine.
I can stop and restart it.
Then I run the FreePBX's "install_amp" script.
Ok, I can reach the FreePBX GUI and Asterisk keeps running.
Then I stop Asterisk with the init script "/etc/init.d/asterisk stop"
But now , Asterisk does not start with script "/etc/init.d/asterisk start"
It seems to start:
router:/usr/src/freepbx-2.4.0# /etc/init.d/asterisk start
Starting Asterisk PBX: asterisk.
However, "asterisk" is not seen in processes :
router:/usr/src/freepbx-2.4.0# ps -ef | grep aster
root 11475 10815 0 21:02 pts/2 00:00:00 grep aster
router:/usr/src/freepbx-2.4.0#
I dont understand what happens.
Before running FreePBX install script , I can stop and start Asterisk successfully.
After the FreePBX install , I can't...
